THE
PROGRAM
The administrator or manager in business, government, or para-governmental
operations requires specialized knowledge of these areas and of
related disciplines. Managerial behavioral skills, communication
skills, flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing conditions
are also essential.
Champlain
St-Lambert's three-year Business Administration program gives
students the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in
business. The program also gives students the opportunity to specialize
in Finance or Marketing which allows them to decide whether to
approach business from a quantitative (accounting and finance)
or qualitative (sales and marketing) point of view.
The
program emphasizes a practical approach to learning through the
use of simulations, case studies, assorted software applications,
and field experience in an off-campus location.
Graduates
from our program are in demand and employers recognize that they
have immediately useful skills and can assume positions of responsibility
with a minimum of supervision. This program prepares students
for positions in small, medium and large companies engaged in
manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing operations as well as in
banks, government, trusts, investment firms, and insurance companies.
Students
in Champlain's Business Administra-tion program may also obtain
advanced standing and/or course exemptions if they continue on
towards a university degree. In addition, associations such as
the Professional Corporation of Certified General Accountants
(C.G.A.), and the Professional Corporation of Certified Management
Accountants (C.M.A.) recognize many of the courses in our program
for credit towards their professional accounting designation.
WHO
