have access to a fitness
center complete with treadmills, rowing machines and bikes, a weight
room including a universal gym and dance/exercise studio with open sessions
supervised and offered daily at lunch hour. The college also uses three
soccer fields, a baseball diamond and a rugby practice field at nearby
Seaway Park. Champlain
St-Lambert
is proud of its comprehensive sports medicine clinic offering services
such as prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of injuries. The clinic
is staffed by a head sports therapist as well as student therapist interns
from Concordia University's Athletic Therapy Program. Many of the therapy
interns are recent Champlain St-Lambert graduates.
Athletes
benefit from a strong academic support system at Champlain. A full time
faculty member is responsible for following the academic progress of
athletes participating in intercollegiate sports. The college also has
two academic advisors and a learning center that coordinates peer tutoring.
In addition, Student Services has three counselors who provide personal
and career counseling and offer time management workshops as well as
other helpful services.
