Champlain
St-Lambert has as its main goal the intellectual, social, personal,
and moral development of its students. In addition to this, it is committed
to the fundamental values of equity and justice and to the pursuit of
academic excellence. It hence follows that the institution holds tht:
a)
its students possess a core of inter-related rights and responsibilities
that are directly linked to their status as students;
b) the mutual respect of these rights and responsibilities permits the
student to derive full benefit from the teaching & learning environment;
c)
the effective implementation of these rights and responsibilities maintains
and improves the quality of the education provided at the College.
The following Charter of Student Rights and Responsibilities sets forth
a series of comprehensive principles that embrace mutual concerns. The
Charter is also seen to be a dynamic instrument of exchange and growth,
and to this end the Champlain St. Lambert Student Life Council is instituted
to advise the Director on the interpretation and application of the
Charter.
