Media Services:
Audiovisual items are kept at the Media Services Counter
on the 3rd floor in room B-301. These include videotapes, films,
slides, filmstrips, audiotapes and audio compact discs. There are
carrels with audio and video equipment, slide projectors and light panels.
Faculty and students can book media items during regular hours that the
Media Counter is open.
Booked items required for after-hour use can be picked
up from the Circulation Counter on the 2nd floor.
COMPUTER USE in the Media & Learning Centre should be booked in advance during busy periods. The computers are available during the open hours of the Resource Centre. Check with Doreen Kelly at the Media Counter about word processing and other available programs.
Houses materials on reading, writing, study skills, time management, essay writing, and stress management which can help any student become a more effective learner, in any discipline.
Student tutors are available for help with specific courses, for example, math, English, business or science. The availability of tutors is somewhat limited, therefore requests for assistance are carefully evaluated. All efforts are made to match students with appropriate tutors. The Learning Centre staff can also direct students to possible alternative sources of help with course work.
Please direct requests for tutoring to Doreen Kelly.
