At the close of the 2003/2004 Academic Year, Champlain Regional College was in the process of completing a major self-examination of all of our services at all of our locations through the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report with the visits of the team from the Commission d'évaluation de l'enseignement collégial. Although the final report is not yet available, we are delighted with the preliminary comments that we have received. As a College, we have always taken pride in the quality of the instructional services that we provide to all of our students no matter what program or what location and this cornerstone of our mission was confirmed by the Commission d'évaluation de l'enseignement collégial.
Senior officials of the College undertook the commitment to develop a three-year Strategic Plan that was adopted at the June meeting by our Board of Governors. This plan will be refined in the Fall and then set into motion as the major planning document for the next three years. The first step in this process is to revisit our Mission Statement and create a new sense of vision for the College and the three campuses.
Over the course of this last year, the College also had to replace the Director of Studies and the three Campus Directors. This change was carefully managed so as to ensure that we would be able to complete our major undertaking while maintaining stability in our daily operations. Thanks to the goodwill and dedication of the College Community, we once again can report a successful year overall.
In closing, I am pleased to report that by focusing on the students we service, that the Faculty and Staff have once again distinguished themselves in terms of both dedication and achievement.
