Annual Bowling Challenge on Friday, November 12
For the second year in a row, the Sport Marketing & Management students will take on faculty in a bowling challenge -- this year with a twist: Both first and second year students will be competing. There were be prizes and trophies. Lunch will be served before the competition begins. The Bowling Challenge is slated for Friday, November 12 from 1 to 4 pm. Mini Canfitpro in January 2005
This January, second year Sport Marketing & Management students will be hosting a mini Canfitpro convention at the college -- literally a day before Canfitpro's regional convention in Montreal. Students will be publcizing the event, organizing the presenters and taking care of all facets of the day. For more information, speak to Dean Anthony or Marc Dagenais.

Visit from Vincent Sheffield
On Friday, March 12, Vincent Sheffield who is the Facilities Manager of Monster Gym (the largest gym on the West Island) spoke to Sport Marketing & Management stduents about management and operation of a large gym including human resources issues, the procurement and maintenance of equipment, and dealing with client needs, requests and complaints. Vincent Sheffield also touched upon marketing, advertising and publicity for the fitness industry. Mr. Sheffield sits on the advisory board for the SMM program and will be back to meet with students again later on in the year.
