Champlain Saint-Lambert distinguishes
itself from other institutions by offering
the province's first and only Advertising
Management Option at the Cégep level. This
program is based on a strong business core including, management,
marketing, media design, economics, ethics, law, finance,
communications, and budgeting. It's a marketing and management
program with a focus on the key areas of the advertising industry:
research, strategy, media selection, and creative in preparation
for production. The course is industry-based and practical
with students developing relevant real-world skills.
The curriculum includes classes from a variety
of disciplines including courses in Business Administration,
Economics, Ethics (Humanities), Graphic Communications, and
Film to give students a truly interdisciplinary approach to
marketing and advertising.
By the third year of the program, students
work with real clients on real projects and extend their industry
insight and understanding through an externship program that
has them working in businesses such as advertising agencies
(creative, media and interactive); the media and media buying
organisations; marketing departments; advertising and market
research companies; or direct response, sales promotion and
other marketing consultancies.
