Programming fo Multimedia and Business |
 |
 |
Both business and personal computing, multimedia, and
computer networks have experienced a tremendous boom during
the past decade. Most everything in today's world relies
on computer technology. Programming for Web, Multimeida
& Business is a three-year program that prepares students
with the skills necessary for programming in today's world.
The emphasis is on the skills and knowledge necessary
to build multimedia, business and internet applications.
You'll learn C++ programming, HTML, Perl
programming, CGI, Javascript, DHTML, CSS, XML, databases
with Oracle, programming using Flash,, database administration,
system development, system implementation and interface
design using Photoshop and Illustrator.
Professional web sites and databases
are more than just pretty interfaces that utilise animation
and plug-ins to look "professional". There
is a complex system behind the scenes that allows for
actions that link the visitor to the site, the site
to the site's server, and the server to databases and
programs that supply data and do functions for the site
that the site, by itself, is not capable of. These are
things that only a programmer can do. You'll learn all
of this and more in this program.
