Graphic Communications is a three-year career program that provides you with the skills to present ideas clearly and creatively, using the latest graphic design software. As a student in the Graphic Communications program, you’ll learn how to apply these skills to design and produce print, web, and multimedia documents used in all aspects of life. If you want to learn how to create logos, newsletters, packaging for consumer products, identity kits, advertisements, promotional posters, book jackets, brochures, magazines, websites, and interactive Flash movies, Graphic Communications is the program for you.
Graphic Communications also gives you the opportunity to work in our student run Business Centre where you’ll create design projects for clients on and off campus. In your final semester you’ll apply your knowledge in a real-world environment during an eight-week externship.
Graduates of the Graphic Communications program are employed as production artists, Web authors, magazine layout artists, desktop publishers, print shop technicians and in other information technology jobs.
A number of our graduates continue their studies in university programs leading to careers in advertising, communications and graphic design.
