Bio - Theresa Sliz

I'm told the objective of these biographies is to put a more human face to the College. I'm not really sure how to do this without meeting you.

May I say that my priority is students. Those who have been in my classrooms, those who are now and those who may come to be. My objective is to interact with students in a way which will both facilitate their learning and encourage them to seek an understanding that is relevant to them. It is my hope that in their journey through CEGEP students will strengthen their knowledge by applying it to aspects beyond the scope of a single course. I believe that my humanity is in the degree to which I achieve this goal.

If you're out there reading this, wondering about your own future, and would like to discuss the Publication Design & Management program, call me, write me, e-mail me or come to the College.

For the record, I've been teaching at Champlain, St. Lambert, for over fifteen years. Before that I was with IBM where I held several positions, including systems engineer and training centre coordinator for the Office Products Division. I hold a Masters degree in Education from the Université de Sherbrooke.

I look forward to meeting you in person.
